Tech To The Rescue campaign supporting Ukrainian organizations with digital transformation – projects include fundraising platform for humanitarian assistance, refugee information services and data security for evidence of war crimes.
Context
Tech To The Rescue is a Poland-based foundation that transforms the way nonprofits operate, equipping them with modern technology. Tech To The Rescue matches nonprofits with IT companies so together they could work together on a digital solution that would accelerate growth and maximize the impact. All work is done on a pro bono basis. It is the only such organization in the world.
This way, Tech To The Rescue digitized over 50 nonprofits in a crisis response campaign to fight COVID-19 in March 2020, and over 100 nonprofits providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine, as part of #TechForUkraine campaign, launched in February 2022. Some of the Ukrainian projects include securing data passage for evidence of war crimes committed in Ukraine, saving Ukrainian cultural heritage online, or helping US-based NGO raise $31 million for Ukrainian relief efforts.
Tech To The Rescue is supported by Google.org and a group of 15 Googlers who joined the nonprofit pro bono, for 6 months, to help build and scale their platform.
