Tech to the Rescue Announces the Largest Generative AI for Good Hackathon
Time to shift conversations around AI
Tech To The Rescue launched registration for its first-ever hackathon that will bring together teams from dozens of tech companies to solve nonprofits’ most pressing challenges. Hack To The Rescue: Generative AI aims to use the power of AI for good and show that this emerging field of technology can ultimately have a positive impact on the world.
Generative AI has created a polarizing public debate in the tech world and beyond. While people tend to love it or hate it, Hack To The Rescue aims to show that AI’s practical application has the power to solve very real problems that impact millions of people.
The online event, taking place on June 14-15, will host teams from dozens of leading tech companies to find solutions to participating nonprofits’ most pressing challenges. Hackers will explore how to use Large Language Models to help asylum seekers exercise their human rights, how AI can create a better and friendlier interface to democracy for all citizens, and how it can speed up disaster responses, among other themes. Up for grabs is a $10,000+ prize pool for charity.

Among the first tech companies to sign on are Think Evolve, Netguru, and Commutatus. Their teams will hack their hearts out to help nonprofits like Asylex, AsseSOS, and CRIES, whose projects were shortlisted for the event.
