Tech To The Rescue launches a campaign to help people affected by the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria

When the Russian-Ukrainian conflict began Tech To The Rescue was the first responder to offer worldwide tech aid coordination. By establishing multi-partner groups and ensuring prompt, relevant responses based on actual needs, it created a link between the private sector, non-profits, and informal groups of volunteers. Through this humanitarian effort they have accumulated expertise and knowledge that they are currently using to support local non-profits and volunteer groups working on the relief efforts in Turkey and Syria.

In order to preserve connectivity, organize housing, supplies, and essential services for people who are in need, Tech To The Rescue is working with local volunteers, international non-profits, and tech communities. Ready-to-use tools created by local and global changemakers are being deployed in the region - these are, among other, solutions created by NeedsList, Twilio.org, Monday.com. As Tech To The Rescue already has connections to the creators of top crisis response solutions made for Ukraine, they are now facilitating the flow of the solutions and know-how to the region destroyed by last week’s earthquake. 
"We are still in the first stage of the crisis, which is solely devoted to the provision of emergency rescue assistance, and at this point, money is most urgently required. Immediate rescue efforts, the setting up of shelters, and the provision of humanitarian aid distribution technologies are the next priorities. 
We already know that the impacted areas will require significant technology assistance to organize recovery, thus it is preferable to use the expertise of experienced NGOs in creating the best solutions rather than launching numerous efforts at once. To prevent turmoil and double work, I encourage all tech businesses and changemakers to join our coordinated efforts. – says Jacek Siadkowski, the organization's CEO.

Once again the organization stepped in as a major facilitator and is now launching its internal systems to organize further long-term support. Like in previous crisis responses Tech To The Rescue is establishing partnerships between technology companies and nonprofits with expertise and deep understanding of a problem and the local contexte. 
Domains in need of technical support will include access to information, jobs, and education, as well as mental health solutions and psychological help. These will be needed both for survivors and millions of other people in Turkey and Syria - official sources report that 1 in 5 people in Turkey was directly affected by this tragic disaster.
