[Warsaw, 13.02.2023] Tech To The Rescue, a foundation matching non-profit organizations and tech companies to build digital solutions, immediately launched its crisis response similar to the one prompted in February 2022 when the war in Ukraine started. The team established connection with local and global NGOs and partners. We are assessing needs of the local actors and ways tech industry can support relief and recovery efforts in Turkey and Syria in the most efficient way.

"We are still in the first stage of the crisis, which is solely devoted to the provision of emergency rescue assistance, and at this point, money is most urgently required. Immediate rescue efforts, the setting up of shelters, and the provision of humanitarian aid distribution technologies are the next priorities.
We already know that the impacted areas will require significant technology assistance to organize recovery, thus it is preferable to use the expertise of experienced NGOs in creating the best solutions rather than launching numerous efforts at once. To prevent turmoil and double work, I encourage all tech businesses and changemakers to join our coordinated efforts. – says Jacek Siadkowski, the organization's CEO.
Domains in need of technical support will include access to information, jobs, and education, as well as mental health solutions and psychological help. These will be needed both for survivors and millions of other people in Turkey and Syria - official sources report that 1 in 5 people in Turkey was directly affected by this tragic disaster.
Tech To The Rescue calls for all technolog companies willing to provide support to support relief and recovery efforts in Turkey and Syria to join them by signing up via this link.
We will happily provide introductions to mentioned in release partners, including local nonprofits, social entrepreneurs and group of IT volunteers.
